`Parampara’15, a three day annual festival of the Department of Mass Media and Mass Communication at Indraprastha College for Women, was held from 7th-9th April, 2015.

Though the events started taking place a week before the fest commenced. The first event that took place was On the Spot Film Making Competition on 25th and 26th March. The  topics given to the teams on the spot were: Break the Walls, Basic Instinct, and Comedy of  Errors. They had to choose one of the above and make a 2 minute film on the topic. The  event witnessed a great number of teams who participated in the event and graced it with their talent leaving the audience awestruck.
 
On April 7th, the fest marked the day with their event “Meet the Media” that saw various big names from the media industry talking on the topic ‘Ethics and Practices in Broadcast Media’. Mr. Shesh Narain Singh(Political Editor, Deshbandhu Newspaper), Mr. L.S Bajpai (Retd. DDG I/C, Air), Ms. Arfa Khanum(Anchor and Reporter, Rajya Sabha T.V.) and Ms. Meena Sharma(Anchor and Reporter, Focus T.V.) were the speakers for the talk. It was really a resourceful and interesting opportunity for the students and teachers to interact with the leaders of media industry.
 
April 8th recorded the event RJ HUNT in association with OYE! 104.8 FM with RJ Rahul Makin. Students from various colleges took part in this competition. It was an event full of fun and frolic where students showcased their hidden talent. Folloing prizes were given away by the guest of honour.

The fest came to an end with a talk by Mr. Abhisar Sharma of ABP News on his new book ‘A Hundred Lives for You’. He also talked about his media career giving inspiration and motivation to the students. Also, Parampara and Pearl Academy joined hands and organized a photobooth in the college and also conducted a workshop on Communication Design.

The three day fest ended on a happy note with another mobile photography competition in association with Pearl Academy.
