Teacher’s day celebration at Jaipuria institute of Management, Indore

“A teacher is not just someone who teaches.....they are your friend, philosopher and guide to put your life on the right track”. It’s the teachers day, a day to celebrate the greatness of all those teachers who are responsible for the person you are. We expressed our gratitude to our teachers.

A fully student-driven program on September 5, 2013, hosted by Jipson Joseph & Snehlata Kashyap to celebrate the teacher’s day at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore

The Program started with a traditional & floral welcome to the whole staff by Monika Singh (2012-14) and Nikita Gaur (2013-15) followed by continuous round of applause by the students in Auditorium. The program initiated with lighting of the lamp collectively by the staff members after entering into the Auditorium.

Later on, the creative students of Jaipuria gave hand-made cards to the faculty members as a token of love and respect to them. After this, faculty members were asked to share their experiences of being a “Teacher”. Prof. J.K. Mishra told students about how a “teacher” differs from other professionals. He said, ‘a student is the teacher’s own identity’. The Assistant dean- Student affairs, Dr. Nitin Merh talked about the changing patterns in Student-teacher relationship. “Our main motto is to see a smile on every face at the end of the day”, he added. Prof. PritiBakshi told the students that their love and affection is the biggest asset for her. Prof. JagdishBhagwat talked about stress management. Prof. Romi Sainy expressed her feeling by saying “Main Jo Hu wo na hoti agar tum nahote” in order to shower her love and affection to the students of Jaipuria. Prof. Charu Dubey said, “We need to rethink & recreate India which begins with the Youth” and shared the importance of a Teacher in life. The faculty of Economics, Dr. Megha Jain said we need to change our thinking and attitude in order to cope up with the outer world. Prof. Bhagawat, known to be the most energetic faculty of Jaipuria, asked students to give time to their hobby and live a stress free life. Prof. Arindam Sahaand Aditi Dubey shared their experiences being a part of Jaipuria Family. Prof. Devika said to the students, “You complete me” in a way to express the affection she had with all the students. She also told the students that she loves teaching and always wanted to be a good teacher. Later on, students from both the batches were asked to say something about their respective Mentors. The students grab the opportunity and made the event more enjoyable. The event winded up with a Cake cutting ceremony followed by Musical chair game. All the teachers felt special which made the event memorable.

The celebration was started by 3 pm and concluded in the evening 5.30 pm whereby the institute perceived the love and respect of students toward the teachers who always act as a helping hand to all of them and show them the right path for their career.
