I am sure that none of us want to study course-books to be a pro in a field; it’s a requirement. And many of us realize that even studying them thoroughly won’t do the exact task.
But there are always, don’t forget, always ways to make your studies interesting. You just gotta find and start at it, you will like it and continue it yourself.
Just like psychology students can involve practical psychology in their real lives, which I even have seen. But what I haven’t seen (and is a rare sight for anyone) is a Computer Science student reading magazines like chip, digit, etc. This way he would just make the programs given to him as projects, and working in that computer language won’t be one of his interests. To have talks with friends on the subject and to compete is another one of many things we all know creates interest. And this happens with many students of many courses.
I am not here to put up a list of what one can do in his/her particular area of study to have the effect I have talked about. I am just trying to make you realize that there’s always a scope to go beyond classroom study …yourself! (Because practical tasks given by the teachers are more like classroom tasks again)
