SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam 2013: Exam Dates Revised

The dates for the SSC Combined Higher Secondary Exam 2013 have been revised.

SSC will conduct the combined higher secondary level examination for recruitment to the posts of Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerk in the month of November, 2013.

Previously, the SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam 2013 was scheduled to be conducted on 10th and 17th November, 2013.

Now, as per the revised schedule, the examination will be held on 10th November, 2013 and 24th November, 2013.

About Staff Selection Commission:

Staff Selection Commission or SSC is responsible for making recruitment to Group C (non-technical) and Group B (non-gazetted- both technical and non-technical) posts in various departments of Government of India, its attached and subordinate offices. The commission does not make recruitment for Railway Recruitment Board and Industrial Establishments.

SSC conducts examination for various posts which are graduate level assistants, auditors/junior accountants/upper division clerks, divisional accountants, inspector of income tax/central excise, sub-inspectors in Central Police Organization (CRPF, CISF, BSF, ITBP and SSB) and CBI, Section Officer (Commercial) and Section Officer (audit). The commission also holds examination for Matric level stenographer Grade C, stenographer Grade D and Lower Division Clerks. Direct interviews are held for some posts of section officers, after inviting application through advertisement in newspapers.
