Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued an official notification clarifying that re-examination will be conducted for only those candidates who appeared for SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier I examination under batch II on August 27, 2022.
As per the notification, re-examination will be held tentatively on August 27, 2022 and the results for all batches will be declared most likely by November 8, 2022. It also stated that SSC CGL 2022 Tier II examination would be held roughly from November 30, 2022 to December 2, 2022. The exact dates are yet to be confirmed.
Citing administrative reasons, the re-examination will be conducted for the students who actually appeared for the exam held from 4:15 to 5:30 pm on August 27. This notification has nullified all rumours suggesting re-examination for all batches of Tier I exam.
In a statement issued by SSC Chairperson Ashim Khurana, he asked candidates not to get affected by ‘propaganda’ of ‘vested interests’. He also assured candidates of selecting students purely on merit in a ‘fair and transparent’ manner.
SSC CGL 2022 Tier I examination was conducted in 43 batches for about 14.99 lakh candidates. The examination was held from August 27, 2022 to September 11, 2022 across India and on September 25, 2022 at Srinagar.
