Guru Nanak Dev University, Jalandhar organised the annual sport meet-II in February 2015 and the result was announced.
Some of the ladies semi-final and football, basketball matches were concluded recently. Meanwhile in cricket, an overall good performance by B. Tech 3rd year girls defeated the law students by a huge margin.
Sukriti Behl was awarded Player of the tournament. The law department avenged their loss in the ladies cricket match by winning a closely fought football match. Jalsut Luthra had a clean sweep of all the awards in badminton winning the singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches.
In the boys cricket match the law department defeated the B Tech boys. This was the last match of the sports meet which was paid with a lot of enthusiasm. In Chess, Danish Vij went on to win the competition for the 2nd straight year.
The awards were given out by the chief guest with Harbhajan Singh giving out special autographed balls to the best players.
For the coming weeks, the students of GNDU, RC, Jalandhar will be preparing for their first Unit Tests.
