Students of Bhawanipur Education Society College (BESC) along with their professors visited the Refuge Orphanage to celebrate Independence Day with the children. The students endeavored to carve a smile on the faces of the destitute children with their presence and motto of the National Service Scheme (NSS) Not Me But You.
The children of the orphanage were ecstatic to see the students who had come to spend time with them. They played games like musical chairs to bring smiles to the childrens’ faces. Snacks were served to all of them with greetings of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Matram’ which consisted of rich Indian delicacies. After the interactive session, students bid adieu with a promise to return whenever the kids needed them. The students themselves, were greatly touched and thanked their professors for this lifetime experience.
The underprivileged children seemed to be well disciplined and content with the limited resources available to them.
The Refuge Orphanage provides education upto 10th standard along with vocational skill training. If these children face financial glitch even after joining college, the institution is open to help them in the best possible way.
