Sports Authority of India (SAI) has decided to conduct ‘Six-Week Certificate Course in Sports Coaching’ at KIIT University from May 14-June 12, 2015, through its Academic Wing, NSNIS, Patiala.
The competent authority has approved Athletics, Basketball, Football, Hockey and Volleyball for certificate course. The final decision for allotment of sports disciplines will be decided on the basis of numbers of eligible applications.
Course expense:
- Rs.15, 250/- per students will be charged for the duration of their stay for the course to meet the boarding and lodging and other miscellaneous expenses
- Fee should be paid at the time of joining
How to apply?
Interested candidates can obtain the application form from KIIT website www.kiit.ac.in or downloaded from www.nsnis.org under the link ‘Academics’.
Eligibility criteria:
- Minimum educational qualification for the candidates is 10+2 pass
- 1st, 2nd & 3rd position holder in District Championship of Individual and Team Games/Sports in the concerned discipline or Participation in State/University Championship can apply
- Preference will be given to the International Players, Physical Education Teachers, Social Workers and sponsored candidates from Institutes/organizations
- The age limit is 20-40 years as on May 14, 2015 and the relaxation in upper age limit up to five years will be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ST & North-East areas
Duration:
- For six weeks (14th May to 24th June 2015)
