Some good memories were captured and preserved  for ever at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Bangalore when institute witnessed the presence of host to the actor, stand-up comedian, singer and guitarist Mr. Vir Das and his Amit Sahni ki List co-star Ms. Vega Tamotia on Tuesday evening, July 8, 2014.

Mr. Das has various T.V. shows and movies to his name among which his roles in Delhi Belly and Go Goa Gone are the most memorable. After Aamras, Amit Sahni ki List is Ms. Vega’s second movie. Besides Mr. Vir Das and Ms. Vega Tamotia, Amit Sahni ki List also stars Ms. Anindita Nayar.

Mr. Vir Das talked about his journey from being a stand-up comedian to an actor and how it is like to balance both of them. “It is tough to balance stand-up comedy and movies. However, it would be ungrateful of me to abandon stand-up comedy. It’s nice, humbling and keeps me grounded”, he said. He further continued, “With movies, my audience triples. That is the plus side.” Ms. Vega Tamotia said that it was fabulous working in this movie and it was great fun to have Mr. Vir Das as a co-actor.

His talk focused on his upcoming flick Amit Sahni ki list (in which he plays the role of an investment banker) and its nexus with the present day youth. “Everyone has a list about how their life partner should be, but trust me, the list never gets fulfilled”, quoted Mr. Vir Das. The students wanted to know his check list and prompt came a reply – a girl who would laugh at all jokes, loves dogs and eats properly. The duo chatted with Premna, a first year student and Sarthak, a second year finance student while exploring the bucket list of today’s youth about their life partner. This was followed by the crowd going gaga over his acoustic song “Do whatever you want, it’s all right it’s ok” from his band, Alien Chutney.
