Baba Hira Singh Bhattal Institute of Engineering & Technology is conducting a short term programme on “Alternate Energy Sources- Challenges & Opportunities” from June 2-6, 2014.
The contents of this training programme would be covered through interactive lectures, deliberations, case studies, field visits and educational video films shows.
Faculty members working in Engineering colleges and Polytechnics can participate in this programme. Faculty working in University Institutes/Department and Private Engineering Colleges are also eligible for participating in this programme.
Objectives:
- To apprise the participants about the issues on energy demand and consumption and significance of alternate renewable energy sources
- To educate about various technology options related to alternate energy sources
- To impart knowledge regarding design principles and working of different technologies related to energy sources like solar, wind, bio-mass, small hydro plants, biomass gasifier, Biofuel etc.
- To provide knowledge about energy audit and energy conservation
- To discuss the strategies for transfer and adoption of new energy technologies
- To provide information regarding various agencies and organisations working in the area of alternate energy based technologies.
- Faculty members from University Institutes/Department and Private Colleges shall have to bear their expenses and boarding/lodging costs during this training programme.
TA/DA to Government Colleges, and government aided college teachers would be paid by NITTTR, Chandigarh as per institute rules.
