Richard Branson Offers Rs. 5 Lakh Scholarship to Indian Students Going Abroad

Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin Atlantic, is offering Indian students flying to the US or the UK to study a scholarship of Rs. 5 lakh.

So, here’s what you have to do!

In order to apply for the scholarship, students need to write 500 words on how they will solve a problem faced by the world using their education.

The student whose idea sounds the best will be selected for the scholarship, reports a leading daily.

The British billionaire, who apparently believes that education is more than just getting a job and earning money, is well-known for his unconventional ideas.

Apart from the scholarship, Virgin is providing a baggage allowance of 50 kg for economy and 75 kg for business class.

No penalty will be charged for changing the date of travel.

The application should be sent with the following documents:

• Contact details: Email ID, Phone number and address
• Copy of valid student visa
• A valid proof of admission to a university in the UK or the USA
• A copy of Virgin Atlantic ticket
