Remarkable Growth in Online Registration at IGNOU

Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU) has founded remarkable growth in online registration. The online admission system first came into existence in July 2015 admission cycle and Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU) has received 45,000 applications for fresh registration online across the country.

Due to an excellent response in July 2015 admission cycle IGNOU has decided to extend this amenity for all admission cycle fresh and re-registrations beginning from January 2022.

Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU) has registered outstanding enlargement in the fresh registration for July 2015. The University has registered more than 3.0 lakh students for July 2015 cycle in online, offline and vertical mobility.

In the history of IGNOU July admission cycle has brought more than 68,000 new students first time, which was incredible compared to the July 2014 admissions. Even in the states like North East (7 states) and J&K, where online registration is complicated have shown outstanding growth, especially in the Masters and Bachelors degree programme.

Apart from this a solid enhancement has been observed in programmes like BA, B.Com, B.Sc, Tourism Studies and Social Work (Undergraduate) and M.Com., MA Eng., Masters in Hindi, Political Science, Public Administration, Tourism Studies, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, and Rural Development across all states.

Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU) also has a commitment with Indian Army and Indian Air Force under Project Gyandeep (Army) and Akashdeep (Air Force), which permitted the vertical mobility into the 3rd year of BA/ BCom/ BSc (Hons) Applied Sciences for the session July 2015. A few lakh students have already been enrolled under the scheme for Certificates, Diplomas, and Associate Degrees leading to Graduation in the past few years. Thousands of students completing Associate Degrees will be joining Degrees programmes in IGNOU in due course of time under the Vertical Mobility Scheme.
