The JIET Group of Institutions in Mogra, Rajasthan has been given the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) authorization. With this, JIET joins the elite club of colleges in the country which are quality certified by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi.
The National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi, accredits the institutions in the field of education, after scrutinizing the colleges on the basis of quality of education and other prescribed parameters, with the NBA Accreditation Certificate which is the highest level certification in this field. En-route to this process, a team of experts visited the campus and continuously scrutinized each department for three days. This inspection procedure, apart from talks with students, included interaction with parents of the students, teachers and the industrialist of the area and collected vital facts and their opinions about the institution.
The inspection team usually consists of experts who hold respected positions in the education world like university chancellor, IIT professors and top level scientists. During the three-day inspection, the experts of the team also evaluated the laboratories, teaching-learning materials of the Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Science departments. After which, in a meeting held at the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi, the infrastructure and contributions to the education field were deemed fit as per the NBA prescribed standards and henceforth the orders for the certification were issued.
The Director of the JIET Group of Institutions Navneet Agarwal said that out of about 6000 engineering colleges approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, only about 250 colleges are NBA accredited in the entire country. In Rajasthan, out of a total of 125 engineering colleges, only 5 colleges (including JIET) are NBA certified.
Through this accreditation, the students of technical fields will be highly benefited. Apart from high quality education, there will be a probable increase in the number of national and multi-national companies visiting the college for the campus placements. With this accreditation, job opportunities will knock on JIET’s door both in the public sector and semi-public sector.
Cheering this success of JIET Group of Institutions, Dy. President of the JIET Group of Institutions Dr. S.L. Agarwal termed it as victory of the team effort equally shared by both teachers and students, the heroes of this success. He wished and advised the faculty and the students to continuously keep following the roads to hard labour and success.
