PAU to organize Kisan Mela in September 2013

Punjab Agiricultural University is all set to organize Kisan Mela on September 18-19, 2013. With the theme of ‘Save Environment, Save Punjab’ Kisan Mela will be held at PAU’s mela ground.

Field demonstrations, display stalls, exhibitions and other activities relevant to the theme of mela will be organised. Dr S.S. Johl, an eminent farm economist, and former Vice-Chancellor has invited to inaugurate the mela.

Stalls by different departments of PAU will be put up on the mela route. In the main pandal, an agro-industrial exhibition will be organised. The programme of the mela will include technical tips by PAU experts.

Special stalls for the sale of farm literature and enrolment of new members for Changi Kheti and progressive farming monthly magazines will be there. Fruit plants will also be sold. There will be stalls by different departments of College of Home Science of interest to women.
