Patna University: Helping Hands towards the Victim of Uttarakhand Disaster

Vanijya Mahavidyalaya of Patna University organized an event on August 31, 2013 to help the victim of Uttarakhand Disaster this year.

The incessant rain that hit Uttarakhand from June 14 triggered flash floods and landslides, leading to thousands of deaths, while thousands more were missing.
Relief measures were taken by the govt to rescue the people from affected areas.

Countrywide appeal was made to contribute towards the victims in Uttarakhand. Many NGOs, rescue groups are still in their operation to help the people. Different social groups were united to raise funds for Uttarakhand victims of 2013. Donation camps were set up to help the flood victims.

Different Universities, colleges were also gave their share towards Uttarakhand. Keep it in mind Patna University has organized the event on August 31. B. Com department was requested the students to donate as their wish to the victims. Donation was not mandatory it was voluntary.
