‘Outcome-based Education’ Key to IEM-UEM Group’s Success in Placements

Several leading companies have made job offers to students at the IEM-UEM group in 2022, all thanks to the educational institution’s strong placement cell.

While the number of students opting for placement was 801, the number of job offers was 972.

Talking about the huge success, Prof Dr Satyajit Chakrabarti, Chancellor of University of Engineering & Management, says,” Our students, for completing their course, need to go through very strict academic discipline. They need to perform very well in continuous assessments and we impart outcome-based education. That's why, all students of IEM and UEM have got such good job offers."

The placement news comes after the Govt of India’s declaration as IEM being the 3rd best Engineering college in West Bengal after IIT Kharagpur and NIT Durgapur.

According to Prof Chakrabarti said, "UEM will become one of the biggest names in the educational world in near future," if the group continues to do well in placements and academics.

He adds, "We follow strict discipline and good academic culture. Students with very good academic records and with very high ambition of getting placed all over the world should only apply for studying at UEM or IEM."
