Online Applications Takes Precedence Over OMR Forms

Online registrations have exited its cool down phase. Number of applicants for the online registrations are fast catching up with the offline numbers as 56,535 aspirants filled forms online against the 59,756 candidates who submitted the OMR forms. 
 

The total number of registrations crossed the 1 lakh mark recently.

Initial days witnessed an overwhelming influx of eager students wanting to submit their forms, well in time. 18 designated centres for sale and submission of OMR forms is now well stocked. On June 11th , the university sold close to 9,940 forms and received around 12,496.

Online applications weren’t too far away as well, in this number game. Applications submitted online surpassed the 1 lakh mark on June 11th 2013 as 1, 06, 137 aspirants created their accounts, of whom 76,487 completed filling their forms.

DU officials claim that this year the registrations might flat out cross the 2 lakh bar, for the first time.

They have also acknowledged the overwhelming response to the online forms. "The last few days have been outstanding for the online registration process. This is a positive sign," a student was heard saying.
