NSS, DTU to Conduct Awareness Drive on February 2

 

 

 

NSS, Delhi Technological University in collaboration with ORGAN (Organ Receiving & Giving Awareness Network) India, a Delhi based NGO, will organise an awareness program and a questionnaire session in order to bring forth the major issue called 'Organ Donation' among the youth.

 

 

ORGAN (Organ Receiving & Giving Awareness Network) India, is an initiative of the Parashar Foundation, an NGO based in Delhi. The mission of this NGO is to spread awareness on organ donation. To achieve this, it organises various awareness drives in institutes and universities to explain how everyone can become a donor. ORGAN India also serves as a platform for donors and recipients to gather more information about the transplant process, hospitals that carry out the procedures, and information on how the process work.

 

On the day, there will be a short presentation of 20 minutes, screening of a short film, followed by questionnaire from the audience. Also, a short film will be screened to clarify any doubts and resolve any concerns that people might have about organ donation. In the end, students will be offered the option of signing up for donor cards.
