NEtym, the annual North East Festival of Hindu College was hosted on March 26-27, 2015 in the university campus. The 2 day event covered a range of events from sports to fashion show and dance performances.
The event was inaugurated by the college Principal. A designed graffiti wall was thrown open by superstar Sushant Singh Rajput who was in town to promote one of his upcoming movies. As the day progressed the hustle bustle around the campus increased many folds. The food stalls were thronged by people the entire day.
The attacks on North Eastern students in Delhi had created a very grim situation in the recent past. A seminar was conducted by senior journalist Kishalay Bhattacharya on the stereotyping of North Eastern states. The seminar was attended by a large number of people. Soon after the seminar, Akhil Singh and Amit Mehra conducted small sessions about career in photography and street photography respectively. Day 1 ended with cultural programs showcasing various dance forms of the region
Day 2 of the event got a better attendance than the previous day. The day started with the final match of the football tournament between Gimnei FC and SSPP FC which the former won easily. The biggest crowd drawer was the fashion show which was jam packed. The event which featured many college teams was judged by eminent designer Robert Naorem. The hip hop marathon and the rock concert concluded the fest. The rock concert saw Girish and the Chronicles Live which have performed in more than 500 shows. It also had St. Stephen's Paperboat which was one of the top 3 teams in DU fest.
