NLDIMSR steals the show at the first ever Bloomberg Olympiad

The champs of N.L Dalmia Institute of Management Studies & Research continue the legacy of proving their mettle at the national level face off. The first ever Bloomberg Olympiad was conducted by Bloomberg and TA Pai Institute of Management, Manipal played hosts on the September 19, 2015 and September 20, 2015. 

A total of six events were conducted at the annual fest of TAPMI - Finomenol 2015 of which Bloomberg Olympiad was their flagship event. All the Bloomberg champs from across the country were invited to participate and compete against each other. 12 teams from across India including the likes of IIM-Banglore, IIM-Ranchi, FMS Delhi, Symbiosis Pune, Singhagad & Tapmi among others participated in the event. 

Day one of the fest witnessed 3 arduous elimination rounds where in top 4 teams made it to the grand finale day. Mr. Nitin Jaiswal, the head of Sales for Bloomberg in the Asean and Asia Pacific region oversaw the first day which saw NL Dalmia, IIM Ranchi; Singhagad & Tapmi qualify for the finals. Mr. Puneet Saxena, the head of Equities at Bloomberg and Nitin Jaiswal judged the final event - Investment Banker for a night, where final 4 teams were required to prepare a pitch book for Merger & Acquisition of any listed company across the globe.

Two of the gems from NLDIMSR – Devang Mehra & Purvesh Kothari swiftly managed to steal the show and prove their competences, allowing NLDIMSR to be the Clear First at the Bloomberg Olympiad, as quoted by the jury members. NLDIMSR was followed by Tapmi standing 2nd and IIM Ranchi bagging the 3^rd position.
