Central University of Jharkhand was adorned with the visit of the national film award winner 2022 Nitin Chandra who addressed the students recently.
In his speech, Mr. Chandra emphasised on the importance of regional languages. According to him, the importance of regional language has been detorting day by day in film industry as the Hindi language has a strong grip over it.
Jagran Film Festival the most credible platform to all media enthusiasts. The festival screens films across genres from around the globe. The Jagran Film Festival starts from Delhi, travelling through Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Agra, Meerut, Dehradun, Hisar, Ludhiana, Patna, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Raipur, Indore, and Bhopal and finally culminates in Mumbai.
Nitin Chandra won the prestigious National Award for his Maithili film ‘Mithila Makhan’ in Jagran Film Festival said that the films made in Bhojpuri, Maithili, Angika, Nagpuri, Khorta and Santali languages receive fractional responses in box office and it has become difficult to save the local languages these days as many of us run after only Hindi or English language.
He also admitted that the society has many things to learn from the movies made out of Deswa Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati and Assamese languages.
It is worth mentioning that his films have made their mark in the country and abroad, and has garnered numerous awards at national level.
