NIT Rourkela Opens M.Tech (Research) & Ph.D Admissions 2017

National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela has started inviting applications from candidates seeking admission in its Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Research and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes for academic session beginning 2022.

Candidates seeking admission in M.Tech Research or PhD programmes at NIT, Rourkela should start applying and submit their applications forms as soon as possible because the last date to apply online for PhD/M.tech programmes at NIT is November 25.

NIT, Rourkela Eligibility Criteria for PhD and M.Tech Admissions 2022

For PhD Admissions 2022:
Applicants should have B.Tech (or MSc/BPharm/MCA or equivalent) and MTech degrees from a recognised technical institute or university. Else, students with BE/BTech/BPharm/MCA qualification in relevant discipline with CGPA of 7.0 or 65% marks in aggregate.
In addition to this, candidates should possess a valid GATE/ NET/ GPAT score or should have appeared for DST-INSPIRE, RGNF etc. national level fellowship tests.

For M.Tech Research Admission 2022:
Aspirants need to have BE/BTech/BPharm/MCA or equivalent degree in relevant discipline with 60 per cent marks in aggregate (or 6.5 CGPA) from a recogised University/Institute. Candidates, who have pursued M.Sc in basic sciences with 60 per cent marks in aggregate (or 6.5 CGPA) in relevant disciplines will also be termed eligible for admission.

NIT, Rourkela Selection Procedure for Ph.D/M.Tech Admissions 2022

Applicants will be selected on the basis of their academic record, score in written tests and interview performance. Interviews by NIT, Rourkela will be conducted on December 12, 2022 and the results for the same will be declared on December 16, 2022. Later, qualified candidates will be allowed to secure a seat and proceed with the further admission process for their respective courses.
