Nirma University, Gujarat Invites Application for MBA (Full Time) Programme 2013-15

Institute of Management or Nirma Institute of Management (as it was known earlier) is a constituent of Nirma University, Gujarat. The institute is located in Ahmedabad and is one of the reputed B-schools in the country. The institute offers various courses like Master of Business Administration (Full-Time), Master of Business Administration (Part Time), Master of Business Administration (Family Business and Entrepreneurship), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Executive Diploma Programmes in Management, and Management Development Programmes.

Important Dates for admission to MBA (full time) programme of Nirma University: 
 

Eligibility for admission to MBA (full time) programme at Nirma University:

• A candidate needs to have a three year bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline form a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
• Candidates appearing in the final year of the Bachelors Degree and completing all requirements for obtaining the degree by June 25th, 2013 can also apply provided they furnish the proof of having met with the minimum eligibility criteria by September 30, 2013.
• Applicants will be selected on the basis of CAT 2012 rank.
• Foreign students / NRI / Person of Indian origin / Gulf Countries and South Est Asia candidates can be considered for admission on the basis of their GMAT scores also, taken not earlier than January 2012.

How to apply for admission to MBA (full time) programme at Nirma University:

Candidates can apply for the MBA programme at Nirma University either online or through offline mode.

Online admission procedure:

• The online form will be available from 1st October 2012. Keep checking the space for the same.
• After the availability of the application form, candidates can fill in the on line application form and submit it along with an online payment of Rs 1500 by credit card/debit card/net banking.
• NRI/NRI sponsored/Foreign Students/Person of Indian Origin/Gulf Countries and South East candidates should make a payment of Rs 5000 or US$ 115 as processing fee.

Offline admission procedure:

• To obtain the application form and prospectus, applicants should send a request along with a demand draft for Rs 1,500/- favouring “Institute of Management, Nirma University” payable at Ahmedabad addressed to, ‘Deputy Registrar Institute of Management Nirma University
• Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway Ahmedabad - 382 481 (Gujarat) INDIA’
• Application forms can also be directly obtained from the Institute or from the various centers of IMS and TIME on payment of Rs.1500/ from 1st October, 2012.
• The candidates can also download the application form after 1st October 2012
• NRI/NRI sponsored/Foreign Students/Person of Indian Origin/Gulf Countries and South East Asia candidates should enclose a bank draft for Rs.3,500/- or US$ 80 along with the completed application form in addition to the regular application processing fee of Rs.1500/- or US$ 35.

Selection process for admission to MBA (full time) programme at Nirma University:

• The candidates shortlisted on the basis of their CAT or GMAT ranks will be called for personal interview and a written test.
• The interview and the test will be conducted in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi and Kolkata.
• The selection will be done on the basis of CAT (60%), Personal Interview (20%), Written Communication Test (10%) and Academic Performance (10%).
• An additional score up to 5 points will also be given for full-time relevant work experience in a professional organisation.
