NIRF Ranking 2022: Highlights

• IIT Madras has won the overall category for the fourth year. 
• As was the case last year, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore has come in at number two. In addition, it is number one on the list of Best Universities in the World.
• Compared to the previous year, the standings of the IITs in Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Roorkee, and Guwahati have stayed the same.
• As the top medical school in India and the ninth-best in the country overall, AIIMS, New Delhi, will join the list this year.
• The rankings for both JNU and BHU have dropped from ninth to tenth and eleventh, respectively.
• The worst three universities in the country are Bangalore University, Tata Institute of Social Science, and Visvesvaraya Technological University. 
• JNU ranked second among universities, behind only Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi.
• BHU has fallen from third to sixth place in the ranking of universities.
• When ranking engineering schools in India, IIT Madras comes out on top, followed closely by IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay. 
• So far, no IIM has placed in the top 10 in any category. 
• The top three Management schools are the Indian Institutes of Management in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta.
