The National Eligibility-cum- Entrance Test (NEET) for Super Speciality courses is scheduled to take place on 10th June 2022. For entrance to DM/MCh/PDCC courses, NEET is the single window entrance exam.
The official notification states that the NEET exam for entrance to DM/MCh in terms of Section 10 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 as amended in 2022 will be held in various cities on 10th June 2022 by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
No other examination conducted by any university, medical college or institution, either at state or institutional level, will be valid as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 with effect from 2022 admission session, states the notification.

NEET Super Speciality Exam Pattern:
NEET Super Speciality is a computer-based examination comprising of 200 MCQs, (Multiple Choice Questions) based on MD or MS curriculum, which is followed in different medical colleges of India, adopted by Medical Council of India, with pre-approval of the Union Health Ministry.
What is NEET-SS?
NEET-SS is the single window examination for entrance to DM/MCh/PDCC courses that are available at all medical colleges and institutions in India.
NEET-SS 2022 is a single entry point as it is the eligibility-cum-entrance test for admission to Super Speciality courses, for 2022 academic session. It will comprise of DM/MCh/PDCC courses at all the private medical institutions/Universities/Colleges, in the country and the courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions. Tamil Nadu has been ordered by the Supreme Court to admit students from other states to its MBBS, Super Speciality medical courses. The Supreme court has also clarified that at the super speciality level, instead of reservation, merit should be the criterion.

Please note that AIIMS, New Delhi /PGIMER, Chandigarh/ SRICHITRA, Thiruvananthapuram /NIMHANS, Bengaluru/JIPMER, Puducherry are not covered by NEET-SS.
