NBA Accreditation + Quality Management: ASET Workshop

Amity School of Engineering and Technology conducted a five day workshop on NBA Accreditation and Quality Management, in collaboration with National Institute of Technical Teacher’s Training & Research (NITTTR) at the Amity University Campus.

The workshop focussed on the existing accreditation practices and quality management in Indian institutions. It was a learning experience for all the participants who enthusiastically became a part of the workshop.

• Prof. (Dr.) Abhay Bansal, Joint Head ASET

The Outcome Based Education Model (OBEM) is gaining momentum in the field of education as it supports the students’ thinking in different innovative, creative and result oriented domains. It leads to greater clarity, focus and an array of opportunities. Prof. Grover opined that educational institutions should develop the curriculum in such a way that it can take into account the involvement of parents, students as well as teachers to enrich overall learning experience. He emphasized on the implementation of OBEM.

Dr. M.P. Poonia, Director, NITTTR, Chandigarh was also a part of the workshop through video conferencing. She said that every students possesses his or her own style of thinking which needs to be nurtured with the help of educational institutions that must try to make a balanced environment for learning. She reiterated that OBEM focuses on skill based education that is one of the most important pre requisites in an industry as a professional quality.
