National Seminar by Madhav Institute of Technology and Science

Madhav Institute of Technology and Science, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, is organizing a national seminar on Social Ethics of Technology and Business in Entrepreneurship Management from October 18 to 20, 2014.

This will be a three-day residential seminar organized by Entrepreneurship Development Cell of MITS, Gwalior.

About the Institute:

Madhav Institute of Technology and Science was established in 1957. It has a campus of around 45 acres. The institute offers education in nine undergraduate programmes and fifteen PG programmes. The prime object of the institute is to provide quality technical education at both UG and PG levels.

Objectives of the Seminar:

• Create awareness about entrepreneurship
• Stimulating the potential to develop entrepreneurial orientation through innovation and creativity
• Understanding relationship between business, market and society
• Understanding the role of management in creating and maintaining business
• Skills and Behavioural Training: Entrepreneurial motivation and competencies, problem solving, counselling and communication
• Knowledge-based Information Inputs: Curriculum development, procedures involved in initiating, planning, implementing and evaluating Entrepreneurship curriculum
• Business Opportunity Identification
• Business Profile Preparation, Business Plan Formulation, Assessing the Viability of a Business Plan
• Small Business Management, Business Crises
• Motivational Input: Achievement Motivation Training (AMT) concept-approach, style and methodology adopted for motivating and guiding potential entrepreneurs.

Experts from leading institutes/departments will be invited to deliver lectures.

Eligibility:

The course is open to faculty members of Engineering Colleges, Science and Management Colleges, Polytechnics and entrepreneurs. Preference will be given to those teachers who show a developmental attitude towards entrepreneurship activities.

Fees:

This programme is sponsored by Government of India, Planning Commission (Research Division), New Delhi. Hence, no fees from participating candidates will be charged.

Registration and Call for Research Papers:

The completed application in the given format must reach the Organizing Secretary through proper channel on or before October 10, 2014. Those who wish to submit their research paper should send the same to the the Office of the Organizing Secretary on or before 10th October, 2014.
