National Marketing Conclave 2013 was organized by Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore on October 19, 2013.
Conclave was on the theme “Marketing to the 21st century India- Challenges and Opportunities” in which students as well as faculty members from different B-schools participated with keen interest.
The event started with offering of prayer to the almighty by the gathering followed by a warm welcome to honourable guest speakers Mr. AvinashOza, Group Director- Branding and Planning, Mudra-Terra Max, Mumbai; Mr. S Bhatnagar, National Product Manager, DainikBhaskar, Indore and Mr. NishchalChoudhary, GM- Marketing(Rajasthan Region) Airtel, Jaipur.
The session began by the addressing of Dr. J.K Mishra emphasizing on balanced Value preposition and Value perception by the companies in Indian Market, then Prof. Aditi Naidu introduce theme of Marketing conclave 2013.
Mr. Avinash Oza started the marketing conclave with a brief introduction of their company; he talked about the current scenario of Indian market and further added that potential of marketing is shifting toward rural area, opportunities for big companies’ lies in rural India. Now people are more shifted to media and thus it needs a proper place in the hearts of the people thus they are creating ads which could attract their emotions. They had created unique campaign for companies like 7up, Aircel, Big Bazar, Western Union money transfer etc. to manage Cost per contact (CPC) by companies.
Some questions were flagged by the students like:

• How you measure the performance of different media when you go for 360 degree? Asked by Snehlata Kashyap
Then session was taken over by guest speaker S. Bhatnagar who discussed about the difference between traditional media and modern media. He also mentioned challenges for print media which are time factor and Internet, and discussed about prospective- Product management, brand management, distribution to overcome these challenges.
Third guest speaker, Mr. Nischal Choudhary, made students aware of the transition phase that India as a country came across during 100 years, their company concentrated on distribution channel for market penetration alike big giants HUL and P&G did, he also talked about the positioning of their brand according to changing scenario. He further added that telecom has bright future because tele-density is still very low in India.
Post lunch session was headed by Mr. Vikram Lal, who talked about the growth of mobile economy till 2022 by adding some facts and figure. He further discussed the future of telecommunication which lies in internet and mobile technologies. Telecom Industry has contributed in growth of economy by giving job opportunities, social and rural development and promoting gender equality.
Last addressing was by Mr. Anirudh Phadke, who talked about the importance of Digital Media in current market. Lots of opportunities lying in digital media for businesses, it has great potential to reach masses, selling product, generating lead and references.
The event winded up with vote of thanks by Dr. Romi Sainy, she appreciated the enthusiasm of student and showed gratitude toward the guest speaker for the valuable insights and their precious time.
