National convention by School of Inspired Leadership (SOIL) on May

With the collaboration of CII, School of Inspired Leadership (SOIL) organized a nationwide convention on Leadership and Mindfulness on May 3-4, 2013. CII through its National Committee on Leadership under the Chairmanship of Anil Sachdev had taken the first step to create nationwide awareness and discussion around the critical aspects of inspirational leadership through a series of conversations around Ethics, Compassion and Sustainability. Apart from Delhi and Gurgaon, it was held across various cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata.

Main objective of this convention was to sensitize the industry leaders with respect to the changes taking place in the external and internal environment (at global, national, industry, organizational and team level) and further reflect and introspect on the their own role and contribution towards creating a positive work place through the practice of value based leadership. This event was mainly designed for senior leadership of the company, CEO and Manager who influence strategy and drive organizational effort towards value creation. This workshop was sponsored by Max India Ltd.

This workshop was believed to be helpful for the participants by enabling them-

• to invoke appreciation and thinking around values based leadership in the community of industry leaders, in more practical terms.

• to think through opportunities and avenues for aligning values based leadership with results that make business sense.

• to reflect on their own role as industry leaders to create collaborative workplaces by involving the qualities of both head and heart.
