The National Conference on Role and Applications of ICT in Inaccessible Areas (RAICTIA 2012) will be conducted by Guru Jambeshwar University (GJU) on March 9, 2012 for its engineering students. The event will be sponsored by UGC under UGC-SAP Scheme.

About RAICTIA 2012
ICT (Information & Communication Technologies) is an umbrella term that covers all technical means for processing & communicating information. It provides techniques for communication as well as for storing and processing information. ICT is technology’s version of economic growth to satisfy needs of the community over time. It has been identified as crucial element in developing the world’s poorest countries by integrating them into the global economy and making global markets more accessible. This conference talks of reducing  “digital divide” which refers to the gap between people with effective access to digital and information technology and those with very limited or no access at all. ICT aims bringing technology to Bharat (The real India at the grassroots)

Important Dates of RAICTIA 2012

  • Full Paper Submission: 30 January, 2012 (IEEE Format)
  • Acceptance/ Rejection: 15 February,2012
  • Camera Ready Paper Due: February 25, 2012 (Along with Registration Fees)


Registration Fees per delegate: Rs.1000/-
Registration fee may be submitted in Demand Draft drawn in favour of Organizing Secretary, RAICTIA-12, GJUST, Hisar payable at Hisar. The bank draft should mention the conference name, name(s) of delegate(s), and contact number on its back.

Submission Procedure

Full papers comprising the original work (of research nature only) related to the  areas as mentioned under the title thrust areas of the conference, not exceeding 5 (A4 size in MS Word only) pages conforming to the IEEE style with name and complete affiliation of each author.

Additionally, the email address should be sent to the organizing secretary by 30 January, 2012 through Email: raictia12@gmail.com. All the accepted papers will be published in International Journal only after registration of at least one author.
