It is really rare to see diverse cultural integration under one roof. But Mody University, Laxmangarh, had picked up the challenge to embrace the culture of diverse nations like China, France, Germany, Japan and Spanish vis-à-vis its vivacious university Foreign Languages Department in a fun-packed week – PANACHE’ 15 from April 7-11, 2015.
Panache was an attempt of the academic fraternity to bring the learning experience of different foreign languages out of the classroom and to add a surprising poignant element of fun and education. It was certainly an extravaganza that covered various aspects of culture, language and society of different nations.
Girls of Mody University, coming from different departments like Arts and Humanities, Engineering and Technology, Law and Governance and Management Studies not only explored their personal talents but carved a new rhetoric of commitment and perfection in different activities like Language Quizzes, Fashion Show, Calligraphy, Collage, Poster Making, Ball Dancing. The main attraction was Carnival which revealed the hitherto hidden talent of the students though in disguise.
Panache’15 at a glance
Event started with the inaugural ceremony by traditional lamp lighting, followed by a melodious Ganesh Vandana.

Panache’15: Day 1:
The first day, 7th April, was dedicated to incorporate the genuine Chinese culture which witnessed a propitious start with the calligraphical sign by the Dean CASH. All the students enthusiastically participated in diverse competitions like Kite Making, Calligraphy Competition, Catch the Dragon, Pass the Ring etc which was followed by various ethnic dances of Chinese culture like Fan Dance, Umbrella Dance, Flute and Ribbon Dance etc. After the eventful day, Professor Jagdish Rai Luthra created a hot air balloon fiesta which dazzled the eyes of every spectator with light and hope.
Day 2:
Second day was devoted to French culture. The day began with with carnival dance which filled the minds of viewers with wonder and amazement. Students showed their creativity by participating in the competition off paper dress making in twenty minutes. Other events that conducted were collage making, Big Picture Event and Kaun Banega French Superstar. The passion and curiosity reached to the height with the multi-colored lights of evening with the dancing feats of the cultural dancers. It was marvelous ball dance by couples who dedicated their hearts in taking difficult steps in competition against each other.
The centre of the evening was when beautifully dressed students started walking on the ramp showing the various cultures through their dressing and captivated everyone’s glaze.
Panache’15 was its true sense the determined attempt of Mody’s students to explore the meaning of Passion-Aspiration-Newness-Alacrity-Commitment-Hospitality-Excellence (PANACHE).
