Did you lately spot a teenager walking around like a clueless chicken (usually accompanied by a parent) with a huge folder filled with hundred of photocopies of every official document they could get their hands on and a million passport size photos, seeking refuge?
Bingo. You've spotted a DU aspirant.
Every single year, we witness thousands of such 'specimens' flock to the various colleges of the Delhi University seeking admission. Having witnessed this much ‘hyped’ experience for myself this year, I’d like to first begin by listing down all the nuisances that cross the path of every DU candidate.
1. The 'Killer' Heat Of Delhi.
It's like you're inside a microwave, and I'm not even trying to be funny. You will be cranky the entire day thanks to your shirt, which will be drenched in sweat the moment you step out of your house.
2. The Never-Ending Queues
Standing in an almost stagnant queue for hours straight can not only be one of the most annoying things ever but also extremely exhausting.
3. A Thousand Forms To Fill…
And in most of them, you've to write the same damn details. Okay, I know they're needed for official purposes, so they're important. But you can't deny the fact that it gets a bit on your nerves when you have droplets of sweat 'skiing' down your arm.
(And besides, it's my blog. I'm allowed to crib. )

4. Time Consuming.
You can say good bye to whatever other things you'd planned for that day because by the time you're done, the only place you'd readily be willing to go to would be your bed!
5. Withdrawal Hassles.
Don't even talk about this one. Go to the first college, fill a gazillion formalities, run to the other college, before the time runs out, mind you and then go through the above listed process all over again.
The tension that accompanies this is will eat you because you'll constantly worry about losing seats in both the colleges.
But a coin always has two sides, so if there are nuisances, there are the things that make you smile too!
