MHRD 2017 India ranking for Engineering

After announcing NIRF rankings for the Management colleges, the MHRD has announced the rankings of the Engineering colleges in India. With this announcement, MHRD has given the aspirants a chance to select which college they should seek admission in for their bright and successful career. Revealed in a press conference, the National Institutional Rankings Framework has released the rankings at the right time as the JEE Main (pen and paper) test has already been conducted on April 2, 8 and 9, 2022. The list focuses on the top engineering colleges in India.

The MHRD minister Mr Prakash Javadekar, released the NIRF Rankings for Indian Universities in a Press Conference today. NIRF ranks the Indian Universities and other higher education institutes of the country. The released list contains the top Universities in India for 2022.  A total of 2,735 institutes participated in the NRIF rankings, which is less than last year’s 3,563 institutions.

A subject wise ranking was released as well by MHRD. Mr Prakash Javadekar spoke at the press conference today and said that the NIRF has improved to give the students a better measure and idea of higher education institutes in India. These rankings will provide the students with a better understanding and knowledge of higher education in the country. He also said that these rankings will help the Indian educational institutions in getting an international recognition. These rankings will also induce competition amongst institutions to provide better higher education to students. The grants that universities receive from MHRD will also depend on their rankings.
