The Masters Programme in Heritage Management to be offered by Centre for Heritage Management, Ahmedabad University will be one of its kinds which will integrate the technical expertise of heritage conservation with management skills in its academic curriculum, and impart the same to prospective heritage professionals.
The program can be pursued by people aspiring to serve various sectors of heritage management in India and abroad, with a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in arts, architecture, archaeology, business, commerce, culture, history, museum studies etc. The course demands demonstrated experience or inclination to undertake a profession in heritage management.
Additionally, researchers aspiring to pursue Ph.D. in heritage related areas, and or other types of research may also find it a valuable platform to build their career path. The program will be of two years duration, of which the second year will offer some flexibility in terms of course work – with options for participating in exchange programs and electives, internship/practical experience/field work, and research. CHM is in process of developing collaborations with a few universities to offer exchange programs on related areas.
