Manvantra: Two-Day National Conference @ BITM, Ballari

Manvantra is a two-day National Conference on Goods and Service Tax (GST). Indirect Taxes Committee, ICAI organised the event and Bellary Branch of SIRC of ICAI hosted the symposium conducted at Ballari Institute of Technology and Management (BITM), Ballari on December 14, 2022, and December 15, 2022.

The conference consisted of four technical sessions on Day 1. The sessions comprised of the following events:

• Technical Session 1 was on ‘Professional Opportunities in GST’ by CA Madhukar N. Hiregange, Bengaluru
• Technical Session 2 was on ‘Levy (including composition) and Exemptions’ by CA Madhukar N. Hiregange, Bengaluru
• Technical Session 3 was on ‘Registration, Accounts/Records, Returns and Assessment’ by CA Prasanna Krishnan V, Chennai
• Technical Session 4 was on ‘Time, Value and Place of Supply of Goods and Services’ by CA Satish Saraf, Hyderabad.

The second day of the conference comprised of the following events:

• Technical Session 1 was on ‘Input Tax Credit along with Matching of Credits in GST’ by CA Annapurna D. Kabra, Bengaluru
• Technical Session 2 was on ‘Transitional Provisions’ by CA Rajesh Kumar T. R, Bengaluru
• Technical Session 3 was on ‘Job Work, Stock Transfer and Payment’ by CA Rajendra Kumar P, Chennai
• Technical Session 4 was on ‘IGST and Valuation Provisions’ by CA Rajesh Kumar T. R, Chennai.
