Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University is conducting a national conference of women writers of South Indian languages. Titled as 'Conclave of South Indian Women Writers' the conference has started on January 20 and will run through January 22, 2022.
Malayalam University in its recent release said that the three-day event is based on the theme of 'Resonance and Resistance' and over 15 prominent writers of Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil language are expected to participate in the event.
Tamil writer Meena Kandasamy and Malayalam writer P Valsala graced the inaugural session on January 20, 2022.
Writers like Sara Joseph, Chandramathi, P. Geetha, O.V. Usha, Khadeeja Mumtaz, Rosemary, Bindu Krishnan, Salma, L.G. Meera, Jayantashree Balakrishnan, Sukeertha Rani, S.S. Anupama, K.V. Shailaja, K.V. Jayasree and T. Vijayalakshmi are among those expected to attend the event.
Undoubtedly, the event will be a great opportunity to share the essence of creativity with some of the most important contemporary women writers, the release stated.
Apart from writers, teachers, researchers and students of different universities can also participate in the event.
