Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak organized a national level seminar 2013

Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (IHTM) organized a national level seminar on ‘Hospitality and Tourism Education in India: Issues and Challenges’ on April 22, 2013. Registration was on cost of 500 for every participant.

Hospitality and Tourism both are emerging and fast growing sectors with a huge involvement of manpower. Human Resource is probably one of the most important issues related to every organization. In different parts of world, the discussions are ongoing for Human Resource in Hospitality and Tourism Industry. It is been noticed that the supply of human resource is comparatively less than the demand in these industries. In this regards education will play a pivotal role. With this background, Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management had organized a one day seminar on ‘Hospitality and Tourism Education in India: Issues and Challenges’ on April 22, 2013.

This seminar witnessed the presence of industrialists, academicians and students from Hospitality industry from various universities. The main motto of this seminar was to have an effective interaction between academicians and industry professionals to come up with their view or suggestions on the theme of the seminar.
