M. Sc. Computational Biology from Pondicherry University for Academic Session 2012: Admission Notification

Pondicherry University is a Central University with an aim of taking appropriate measures for promoting inter-disciplinary studies and research. Many colleges in Puducherry, Mahe, Karaikal, Yanam and the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands are affiliated to the University.

Pondicherry University invites applications for admission to DBT-sponsored M. Sc. Teaching Programme in Computational Biology for academic session starting in 2012.

You can seek admission to DBT-sponsored M. Sc. Teaching Programme in Computational Biology at Pondicherry University, Anna University and Madurai Kamaraj University. The common entrance test for admission to M. Sc. Teaching Programme in Computational Biology 2012 will be conducted at 35 centres across the country.

Around 36 students will be selected for the course and the selected students will receive studentship of Rs. 5000/- p.m.  

Eligibility for M. Sc. Teaching Programme in Computational Biology 2012

• You must have scored a minimum 55% of marks  in Bachelor’s degree in any relevant area of Physical/ Chemical/ Life Sciences/ Mathematics/ Computer Science with Mathematics at 10+2 level.
• You should have secured a minimum 55% of marks in Bachelor of Engineering.
• You should have scored a minimum 55% of marks in M.B.B.S with Mathematics at 10+2 level.

Application Procedure for M. Sc. Teaching Programme in Computational Biology 2012

• You can apply to M. Sc. Teaching Programme in Computational Biology online by downloading application form from official website of the Pondicherry University (www.pondiuni.edu.in).
• You can send the print out of the duly filled application form along with the original bank challan of Rs. 100/- (Rs. 50/- for SC/ST ) to The Deputy Registrar (Academic II).
• You can obtain the M. Sc. Teaching Programme in Computational Biology application form in person from Pondicherry University Staff Co-operative Society at the University campus on payment of Rs. 100/- (Rs. 50/- for SC/ST ) with Rs.10/- as service charge.
• You can also apply for M. Sc. Teaching Programme in Computational Biology by sending a request through post. You can send your request application along with a self addressed envelope of size 32cm x 25 cm stamped for Rs.89/- to
