The big bang 6th Annual National Fest of Lovely Professional University showcased huge assemblage and enthralling reflection of beats, chants, dances, stalls, heritage and other peculiarities of all the 29 states of India at the campus.
The fest witnessed footfall of around 20,0000 LPU Students from all Indian states displayed cultural heritage of different states in unison, irrespective of their own states.
Events conducted:
- Folk dances of 29 states like Bharatnatyam, Bihu, Kaal-Belia, Jhoomar, Odishi, Mohiniattam, Lavani, Chhau, Naati, Ghoomer, Domni, Sammi
- Bathakuma and Bonalu dances of the new state Telengana were highly appealing
Fest highlights:
- Students were shuffled and had to represent other states as spokesperson i.e an Andhra Pradesh student was spokesperson at Punjab stall, a Haryana student at Kerala, a Manipur student at that of Odisha and so on. Each stalls displayed the story of success and sacrifices made by women of the state it depicted.
- The eye-catching unity of entire LPU family captivated the attention of international students studying at LPU. They wholeheartedly embrace the LPU culture and enjoyed the event fullest
By declaring the celebration close, Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal honoured the students and departments with prizes and certificates for their infinite efforts to represent their states.
This time the winner of One India Mega Fest 2015 is 'Gujarat'. Second prize was won by Arunachal Pradesh, Punjab and Third prize was won by Rajasthan, Kerela and Nagaland.
Two days annual fest concluded with grand showcasing of cultural magnanimity of all the 29 states of India. Lovely Professional University students from each nook and corner of India participated in the event and made it successful.
