The admission season is going on full swing at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Admission to various courses is offered on basis of Common Entrance Test followed by IPU CET Counselling.
GGSIPU also reserves seats for SC, ST, Def, PH category. Recently, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has announced the list of students who have been applied for defence quota to apply for Online Counselling for the academic session 2015-16. IPU reserves 5% seats for Defence personnel.
IPU CET qualified candidates can avail the reservation in the following order of priority (Defence Quota)
- Widows/Wards of Defence personnel killed in action;
- Wards of serving personnel and ex-servicemen disabled in action;
- Widows/wards of Defence personnel who died with death attributable to military service;
- Wards of Defence Personnel physically disabled in peace-time with physical disability with not less than 40% attributable to military service as per guidelines
- Wards of ex-servicemen and serving personnel who are in receipt of Gallantry Award;
- Wards of serving and ex-servicemen in order of merit
