With less than a month to go for CAT 2013, the level of uncertainty is rising among students who must be wondering if their preparation for the D-Day is good enough or is there something else they can do to ensure success.

While there are multiple thoughts that monopolize students’ thought process, focus is one thing that aspirants shouldn’t lose during this time.

Alok Bansal, IMS Director Delhi region, has doled out a few last minute prep tips that would not just help students maximize their scores but would also arm them with all the confidence they need at this hour to bell the CAT.

Understand CAT: Aspirants need to understand that CAT is an aptitude test which has been designed to test their ability to solve problems.

Revise Concepts: Have you revised the concepts thoroughly? If you have, then can you apply those concepts to solve a problem is what CAT is all about.

Build up on your Strengths: If you have some strong areas where you know that you can score well, build up on that strength to make it a competitive advantage.

Work on your Weaknesses: If you have some problem areas, work on them so that you’re at least at par with other aspirants in those sections.

Practice: Appear for a certain set of mock tests, analyze them and figure out the pattern emerging from this activity. With this, you would be able to identify your weak areas. For instance, you would be able to figure out if your attempt is a problem or your speed and accuracy.
