Hurry! Last Date to Apply for M.Phil Admissions 2017 at University of Calcutta is November 25

Candidates seeking admission in Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in various disciplines at University of Calcutta (CU), Kolkata must apply before November 25, 2022.

The University of Calcutta released an official notification inviting M.Phil applications in Bengali, Urdu, Ancient Indian History & Culture, Commerce, Sociology Sanskrit, Education, English, Pali, History, Women Studies, Political Science, Hindi, and Library & Information Science.

Note: Reservation of 3% of seats for PWD within each respective category (SC/ST, OBC – A, OBC – B/unreserved of the concerned subject)
CU Eligibility Criteria for M.Phil Admissions 2022

Applicants need to have a Master of Arts (MA) Master of Science (MSc)/Master of Commerce (MCom) degree with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate from a recognised university/institute. Also, candidates appearing in the final term examinations of the above-mentioned degrees are also eligible to apply.

• Click on ‘Admission Notice MPhil 2022’ link
• Download the Application Form
• Fill the details in the application form and attach the required documents with the receipt of application fees
• Send the application form at ‘Office of the Secretary, UCAC, (College Street Campus, CU), Room No. 3G, Asutosh Building (Ground Floor)’ before the last date of submission
• Keep a copy for future references

Applicants should keep in mind that they will be charged INR 500 as Calcutta University application fees.

CU Selection Procedure for M.Phil Admissions 2022

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance test and interview conducted by the institute. Aplicants who have qualified NET/SET or any equivalent National Level Examination will be exempted from the written test, but will have to appear for the interview round.
