Karnataka MAT 2016: Eligibility Criteria, Selection Procedure, Syllabus and Paper Pattern

To those who want to take admission in MBA, Post Graduation Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) in any of the 169 plus AICTE-approved, University-affiliated B-schools in the state of Karnataka, the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges' Association (KPPGCA) has announced the schedule for Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2022.

KMAT aka Karnataka MAT is a gateway to take admission in more than 169 colleges in Bangalore and in the whole state of Karnataka. KMAT is a conventional pen and paper based test that will be held on July 17, 2022. The test will be open for candidates from all over the India and abroad. The registration process for All India KMAT 2022 will close on July 8, 2022.

KMAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria    

KMAT 2022 is the last common entrance exam for taking admission into MBA/PGDM in Karnataka in 2022. Aspirants who want to apply for KMAT 2022 entrance exam (for MBA/PGDM) should necessarily have passed graduation with a minimum of three years duration/masters degree examination of any recognized body in management, commerce, social sciences, arts, technology/engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 50 percent marks for general category candidates and 40 percent for SC/ST candidates. Aspirants who have given final year/final semester of Bachelor’s degree programme exam are also eligible to apply.

Candidates who want to apply for MCA should have bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate and have studied Maths at 10+2 or graduation level.

KMAT 2022 Selection Procedure

Aspirants seeking admission in MBA/PGDM and MCA courses in any of the colleges in Karnataka can secure a seat only through taking KMAT 2022 test and cracking it with flying colours.  

KMAT 2022 MBA/PGDM Syllabus and Paper Pattern

KMAT 2022 for MBA/PGDM will be a pen and paper based test of two hours duration. The exam will contain 120 questions in all from four sections including Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness of 40, 40, 20 and 20 questions each.  

KMAT 2022 MCA Syllabus and Paper Pattern

​KMAT 2022 for MCA will again be a pen and paper based question paper that will be of two hours durations. KMAT 2022 exam for admission into MCA course will also consist four sections and contain 120 questions. Four sections of the KMAT 2022 MCA exam includes Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (40 questions), Quantitative Ability (40 questions), Logical Reasoning (20 questions) and General Awareness (20 questions).   

KMAT 2022 Important dates to Remember

• The last date to submit applications for KMAT 2022 that will be held in more than 10 cities of India is July 8, 2022.
• KMAT 2022 exam will be conducted on July 17, 2022.
