Karnataka TET 2016 Syllabus

Karnataka TET 2022 Syllabus includes detailed information about the topics that are included in the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test. The paper is designed to select candidates for appointment as teachers. The test is conducted to set a standard and benchmark for acquiring quality candidates through the recruitment process.

KARTET 2022 is a state-level exam examination for candidates looking for teaching jobs in government schools in the state of Karnataka. It is conducted by the Centralised Admission Cell (CAC), Bangalore, which comes under the Government of Karnataka.

• Child Development and Pedagogy

Child Development Principles, Influence of Heredity and Environment, Multi- Dimensional Intelligence, Language & Thoughts, Gender as a social construct, addressing the talent, creative & specially abled learners, cognition & emotion, motivation & learning and factors contributing to learning- personal &environmental, etc.

• Language I

Language Comprehension, learning & acquisition, principles of language teaching, language skills, remedial teaching, role of learning & speaking, evaluating language proficiencies- speaking, learning, reading & writing, etc.

• Language II

Comprehension, learning & acquisition, challenges of teaching language in a diverse classroom- language difficulties, errors & disorders, language skills, etc.

• Mathematics

Geometry, solids around us, numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, weight, time, volume, measurement, data handling, patterns, money, logical thinking, nature of mathematics, language of  mathematics, problems of teaching, community mathematics, error analysis and related aspects of learning & teaching, diagnostic & remedial teaching, etc.

• Environmental Studies

Relationships, work & play, plants & animals, water, travel, food, shelter, concepts & scope of EVS, significance of EVS, integrated EVS, learning principles, activities, scope & relation to science & social science, etc.

All the questions in this paper will be based on the topics given in the NCERT/ State syllabus for Classes I to V.

Number System, fractions, introduction to algebra, ratio & proportions, basic geometrical ideas, understanding elementary shapes, symmetry, construction, mensuration, data handling, etc.

Sources of Food, components of food, materials, the world of the living, electric current & circuits, magnets, etc.

• Social Studies/ Social Sciences

History, geography, social & political life- diversity, government, democracy, judiciary, parliamentary government, social justice and the marginalized, etc.

Questions will be asked as per the syllabus of the subject followed in NCERT/State.
