Karnataka TET 2016

KARTET 2022 is a state-level exam examination for candidates seeking teaching jobs in government schools in the state of Karnataka.
Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test is designed to select candidates for appointment as teachers to set a standard and benchmark for acquiring quality candidates through the recruitment process. This exam is conducted by the Centralised Admission Cell (CAC), Bangalore, which comes under the Government of Karnataka.

Karnataka TET 2022 Application

Candidates can apply for Karnataka TET 2022 by filling the application form, which is available online only.
For filling the form, candidates need to visit http://kartet1617.caconline.in/index.aspx. After entering the website, click on the registration tab. Once the registration form appears, register yourself by filling in the required details. Enter all your personal details and educational details and create a challan to pay the examination fee. In the end, download your confirmation page and generate your application form to complete the application procedure.

Candidates need to remember their username and password, generated at the time of registration, till the end of the recruitment process.

Karnataka TET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

For becoming a Primary School Teacher (Class I-V): Paper I

• PUC/10+2 /equivalent with minimum 50% marks
• Passed/appearing in the final year exam of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/ 4-year Bachelors degree in Elementary Education/ 2-year Diploma in Special Education
• B.A/ B.Sc graduates who have passed and are appearing in the final year exam of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

For becoming an Elementary School Teacher (Class VI- VII): Paper II

• B.A/ B. Sc Graduates with minimum 50% marks and are appearing in the final year exam of 1-year Bachelors in Elementary Education/ B. Ed in Special Education

OR

• B.A/ B. Sc Graduates who have passed and are appearing in the final year exam of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
• PUC/10+2 / Equivalent with minimum 50% marks and have either passed or are appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelors in Elementary Education/ BA/ B.Sc.Ed/ B.A.Ed

For becoming a School Teacher for Class I - VII): Paper I & Paper II

• PUC/10+2 /equivalent with minimum 50% marks and Passed/appearing in the final year exam of 4-year Bachelors degree in Elementary Education
• B.A/ B. Sc Graduates with minimum 50% marks and are appearing in the final year exam of 2-year Bachelors in Elementary Education

Note: 5% relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to SC/ST/C-I/PWD category.

Karnataka TET 2022 Exam Pattern

The medium of the question paper will be both English and Kannada. Paper I will be designed for candidates who aim to be a teacher for Class I to V and similarly Paper II will be for Class VI to VIII. Candidates who wish to teach Class I to VIII will have to appear for both Paper I & II. Duration of both the Papers will be two-and-a-half hours

Karnataka TET 2022 Syllabus

KARTET 2022 Paper I Syllabus

• Child Development and Pedagogy

This section of the paper focuses on the psychology of teaching and learning techniques in relevance to a child of the age group of 6-11 years.

• Language I

This section will have questions that will test the expertise of a candidate in the medium of the paper

• Language II

This section will have questions that will focus on the fundamentals of language, comprehension abilities and communications.

• Mathematics & Environmental Studies

In this section, the paper will include questions based on concepts, problem solving abilities and understanding of the subject.

All the questions in this paper will be based on the topics given in the NCERT/ State syllabus for Classes I to V.

KARTET 2022 Paper II Syllabus

• Child Development and Pedagogy

This section of the paper focuses on the psychology of teaching and learning techniques in relevance to a child of the age group of 11-14 years.

• Language I

Same as paper I.

• Language II

Same as paper I.

• Mathematics and Science, Social Studies/ Social Sciences

This section will include questions that will test the candidates’ problem solving abilities, concepts and understanding of the relevant subject. Questions will be asked as per the syllabus of the subject followed in NCERT/State.
