Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry, one of the leading Medical Institutions in India has announced the JIPMER MBBS 2022 exam pattern, JIPMER Syllabus and JIPMER Marking scheme. The JIPMER MBBS 2022 Application Form will be made available from March 7, 2022.

JIPMER was declared an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament, i.e. JIPMER, Puducherry, Act, 2008. It can now award Medical Degrees, Diplomas, etc. and which are deemed to be included in the schedules to the respective Acts governing Medical Council of India, Indian Nursing Council and Dental Council of India.

JIPMER Exam Pattern:

The questions for JIPMER MBBS 2022 Entrance Exam will be based on the syllabus as prescribed by State Board Hr. Sec. and CBSE for XI & XII standards. There will be 200 single best response type MCQs that will cover all the subjects. These 200 questions will be divided into 4 sections i.e. Physics (60 Marks), Chemistry (60 Marks), Biology (60 Marks) & English (20 Marks). Each correct answer will carry one mark. There will be no negative marking. The examination will be conducted in English medium only.

JIPMER Syllabus:

The booklet of JIPMER MBBS 2022 exam will be based on the syllabus as prescribed by State Board Hr. Sec. and CBSE for XI & XII Standards. The questions will be based on the following sections:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • English

JIPMER Marking Scheme:

  • Every correct answer will be awarded one mark each.
  • No marks will be allotted for unmarked answers.
  • No mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.

JIPMER MBBS 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Biotechnology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) or any other elective with English.
  • The students must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English individually with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (40% for students belonging to the Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Classes/ OPH or 45% for OPH students in general category).
  • Student must be an Indian Citizen.
  • Students must have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December 2014, the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS.
