Paper 1 of the JEE Advanced 2022 exam was successfully conducted today, i.e. May 21, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon, at various centres across the country. Paper 2 will also be conducted today, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
JEE Advanced is the next level examination after JEE Main and is the biggest engineering exam in India. The top 2, 20,000 aspirants appearing for JEE Advanced 2022 can seek admission in B.E./B.Tech and B.Arch/Planning courses offered by the prestigious IITs, NITs, CFTIs and various other engineering colleges.
First Reactions – Paper 1:
The first reactions of students coming out of the exam centre were pretty mixed. Mathematics section turned out to be the easiest among all the sections. Physics consisted of tricky questions and was quite difficult. Chemistry section saw mixed reactions where some students said it was moderate while some said it had tricky questions and was difficult.
JEE Advanced 2022 Paper 1 Analysis:
Physics:
The Physics section turned out to be the trickiest among all the sections and students found this section very tough. The questions were mostly from Class 12 syllabus and few from Class 11 syllabus. There were a total of 18 questions and the total marks distributed were 61. The questions varied from topics like Heat and Thermodynamics, Electrodynamics, Mechanics, Optics, SHM & Waves, and Modern Physics.
Chemistry:
The Chemistry section contained tricky questions too and students said that this section was time-consuming. The marking scheme was similar to the Physics section with 18 questions and a maximum of 61 marks. The questions were spread across topics like Organic Chemistry 1, Organic Chemistry 2, Inorganic Chemistry 1, Inorganic Chemistry 2, Physical Chemistry 1 and Physical Chemistry 2. Organic Chemistry 2 had the maximum number of questions.
Mathematics:
The Mathematics section was the easiest compared to the other two sections, though certain questions required long calculations. The difficulty level of this section varied from 'Easy to Moderate.' The questions were asked from topics like Binomial Theorem, Complex Numbers, Coordinate Geometry, Differential Calculus, Fundamentals of Mathematics, Integral Calculus, Matrix & Determinants, Permutation & Combination, Probability, Quadratic Equation, Sequence & Series, Trigonometry, and Vector & 3D.
JEE Advanced 2022 Paper 2 Analysis:
Paper 2 of JEE Advanced 2022 will be conducted from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM today. The analysis of the paper will be updated soon after the exam is over.
JEE Advanced 2022 Exam Pattern:
As per JEE Advanced 2022 exam pattern, the test will be an objective-type test. The total duration of the test will be of 3 hours. JEE Advanced 2022 will consist of multiple-choice questions and each question will have 4 responses. The candidates have to choose one appropriate response.
