The Entrepreneurship Cell of JBIMS (Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies), in its bid to make a difference to society and tread on the path leading to inclusive growth, organized its Entrepreneurship Event 'Marketing Maestro' on 22nd Feb 2012.
In this event the students of JBIMS procured products (e.g. Key chains, Chocolates, Candles, Perfumes etc) from various NGOs such as the National Association for the Blind, Vivekananda Youth Forum and Om Creations and thereafter sold these products in the marketplace. The profits made from this were given back to the respective NGOs. Hence, this event fulfilled both a social objective as well as allowed the students to put their entrepreneurship skills to test.
This year, 20 teams participated and the total contribution to these NGOs were approximately Rs.1 lakh. Ajinkya Patil, Ankit Agarwal, Monica Kulkarni & Tarun Uppal of Team 'The Killer Machine' were the winners and Akshay Pazare, Henali Shah, Mihir Dalvi and Owais Patanwala of Team 'Galacticos' were the runners-up at “Marketing Maestro 2012”.
