Jawaharlal Institute of Post-graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) have announced the entrance exam dates for admission to the 4 year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) program in Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences. The JIPMER 2013 entrance exam for B. Sc will be held on July 28, 2013.

This course is offered in Medical Laboratory Technology, Cardiac Laboratory Technology, Dialysis Technology, Neuro Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Operation Theatre Technology, Perfusion Technology, Radiotherapy Technology for the academic session 2013. The exam will be conducted in Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram and Puducherry/ Pondicherry centers.

Eligibility criteria for JIPMER 2013 B. Sc

• Should be an Indian national (nominated applicants excluded)
• Persons of Indian Origion (POI) may also apply
• Should be minimum 17 years of age at the time of application

Application procedure for JIPMER 2013 for B. Sc course

• Online application by visiting the official website
• Send hard copy of the application, along with DD in favour of “The Accounts Officer, JIPMER”, payable at Pondicherry
• Application fee for B.Sc Nursing and B.Sc Allied Medical Sciences is Rs.250/- for UR/OBC & Rs.150/- for SC/ST
• For candidates applying to both courses, application fee will be Rs. 400 for UR/OBC and Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates

Exam pattern of JIPMER 2013 B.Sc in Nursing & Allied Medical Science

• Paper based test
• Duration of test: 1.5 hours
• 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) covering English (20 marks), Physics (20 marks), Chemistry (20 marks), Botany (20 marks) and Zoology (20 marks), for both the main and Vocational Stream students
• Marks allocation: 1 mark per question. No negative marking
• Entrance exam question paper for all B. Sc courses is common
