Jamia welcomes Bharat Ratna Prof. C. N. R. RAO for a guest session

Jamia Millia Islamia University was privileged to have Bharat Ratna Prof. C. N. R. RAO, on Wednesday March 25, 2015 during a public lecture on “Celebration of Science”.

 

The Dean of faculty of Natural Science welcomed him. The other dignitaries who spoke over include PROF.  A. K. Ganguly, Director INST Mohali, and Presidential remarks by Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia.

 

By starting his session Prof Rao said that Science is Coexistence, science name of innovation and result of innovation and idea, Science is progressing all the time, science is future and we people always depend upon it  ,suppose there is no GOD and Grants then also science will grow up. 

 

He said that a lot of history of science that full of story of innovations and inventions. Solvay Conference which organized in 1911 all the great minds to get together in this Conference Madam Curie and Einstein are not important that time. But in 5th Solvay in 1927 Einstein are so famous .But Madam Curie was not a member of French academy instead of got two noble prize but RAO said that, I am a member of French Academy for very long time.

 

He also said that about a lot of scientist and their achievements in their respected fields. He said that one more thing important for students and  faculties that the period of the class should not be more than one hour because our mind are doing proper job after one hour ,we should take break after one hour class. He said that people say science and technology no no no. just science where people lives around.
